As the BayRICS project becomes a reality, the need for government officials to have a better understanding of the benefits and challenges of public safety is critical.  The workshop, sponsored by Alcatel Lucent, is a great opportunity to learn more about LTE and the implications for public safety.  The morning session will be a general overview of LTE technology and the afternoon session will delve into the challenges of rolling out the national broadband network envisioned as part of the "D" Block spectrum reallocation.  The seminar will be held on September 15th at the Alameda County Office of Emergency Services in Dublin.  The seminar is free but registration is required.
